Vyasadasa is a free devotional songs catalog focused on Haridasa Sahitya and Madhwa philosophy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices when you use our website or Android app.
Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Contact form: name, email address, message category, and message text.
- Song submissions: song title, lyrics, translations, composer/deity metadata, optional author name, and optional links (for example YouTube or Spotify).
- Optional sign-in: if you choose to sign in with Google or email and password, we receive your email address and a Firebase user ID.
Information collected automatically
- Anonymous user ID: the app may create an anonymous Firebase account so submissions can be associated with a session. This does not reveal your identity unless you sign in.
- Search queries: when you use smart or semantic search, your search text is sent to our server to find relevant songs.
- Technical data: standard request data needed to operate the service (for example, the page URL when you submit a contact message).
Information stored on your device only
- Custom playlists you create
- Draft song submissions
- Cached sign-in email (if you sign in)
This local data is not uploaded unless you submit a form or song.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, phone number, advertising ID, health data, or financial information. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the app.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Operate the song catalog and search features
- Review and moderate community song submissions
- Respond to contact messages
- Manage optional administrator accounts
- Improve search relevance
We do not sell your personal information.

We use trusted service providers to operate Vyasadasa:

External Links
The app may link to YouTube, Spotify, Facebook, X (Twitter), or WhatsApp for sharing or listening. Those services have their own privacy policies and we do not control them.
User-Generated Content
Users may submit songs and messages. Submissions may be reviewed before publication. Please do not submit content you do not have the right to share.
Data Retention & Deletion
We retain submitted songs, contact messages, and account-related records as long as needed to operate the service. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time. See our Data Deletion Request page for steps, what is deleted or kept, and retention periods.
Children’s Privacy
Vyasadasa is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to admin features is restricted to authorized administrators.
Your Choices
- You can browse and search without signing in.
- On Android, you can clear local app data via Settings → Apps → Vyasadasa → Storage → Clear data.
- Contact us to request access to or deletion of data you submitted.
Android Permissions
The Vyasadasa Android app requests Internet access only, which is required to load song content and connect to our services.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
