Biography

Vijaya Dāsa is among the most prolific Haridāsas, with thousands of compositions spanning bhakti, tattva, sulādis, and ugabhogas. His aṅkita Vijaya Viṭṭhala marks every song as a victory offering to Lord Viṭṭhala. He initiated Gopāla Dāsa, Jagannātha Dāsa, and Mohana Dāsa into the tradition, earning the title Dāsa Śreṣṭha. His works are a primary pillar of this catalog.
